Four Decades Later: FABRIQ Pavilion in 2020

What began four decades ago, is now on the verge of fruition. FABRIQ Pavilion, the luxury modern organic tensile architecture startup, is preparing to unveil its luxury products.

The journey began with America’s foremost tent designer, Bill Moss (1923-1994), who was described by Minnesota Monthly as a “Genius at Work on the Banks of the Megunticook.” Moss’ temporary fabric structures were sculptural innovations of their time, recognized by the media as “Tents from Cloud Nine,” and later displayed at the Louvre, the Smithsonian, and the Museum of Modern Art.

Inspired by the beauty and functionality of the Moss design, then 33 year old Bill Wesnousky, now 73 year old Founder, President, and CEO of FABRIQ Pavilion, was inspired when he saw a Moss tent in a magazine, which launched a 40 year journey. In 1999, Wesnousky acquired a Moss design that was commissioned by a church in San Francisco, but never built. Sharing Moss’ passion, Wesnousky’s vision was to transform the temporary Moss tent into a permanent structure, while retaining the beauty and cathedral-like quality of the original design.

A team of top architects, engineers, and glass designers have since perfected the architectural wonder, and Wesnousky is now in the final stages of preparing to showcase FABRIQ Pavilion to an intimate group of supporters, prior to unveiling his luxury products around the world.

With the design plans complete, high-quality materials sourced, manufacturers lined up, and an expert installation team already in place, Wesnousky is poised to offer FABRIQ Pavilion and the larger, FABRIQ Cathedral structure to high-end residential estates and commercial properties come next Spring.

A land use agreement has been signed to bring the world’s first FABRIQ Pavilion Showroom and Event Center to the Villa San-Juliette Vineyard & Winery in San Miguel, California—a palatial property owned by Ken Warwick and Nigel Lithgoe, former American Idol producers and proprietors. The permit has been accepted by the County and the grand opening plans are currently in progress. Once open, this facility will serve as the company’s showroom a la Rolls Royce.

In preparation for the grand opening, a new FABRIQ Pavilion website is underway and social media plans are also in the works. To communicate the rich heritage and unveil the new standard in luxury fabric architecture to the world, an international marketing team has been assembled, with experts from Los Angeles, London, Denver, and Santa Barbara.

As the luxury start-up passionately awaits their April launch, presale opportunities will become available. The FABRIQ Pavilion brand is positioned to become the next premier product in the global luxury lifestyle sector and will offer just 10 structures in its first year of business.

High-end residential estates and upscale commercial properties interested in learning how to secure a FABRIQ Pavilion structure can view more details. The investment for the permanent structure begins at USD$795,000 (est). Two models are available, each with customization options.

The project will also require investors. Though Wesnousky is not currently accepting investments, interested accredited investors may preview the company profile.
